During the laser tattoo removal process, each treatment will target a different layer of the ink in the tattoo. When completely removing a tattoo, you will have to continue getting treatments to completely remove ALL the layers of ink. However, during the tattoo fading process not all layers of ink are removed, which also results in less treatments. The goal of tattoo fading is to fade the tattoo just enough to prepare it for a cover up.

After a treatment one can expect some slight pain & discomfort and some temporary side effects, most of which are part of the body’s natural healing process. Some of the side effects may include redness, swelling, tenderness, blisters, scabbing, hyperpigmentation & hypopigmentation. Right after a treatment there will usually be a white frosting of the skin on the tattoo, this is completely normal and tends to subside within a few minutes.
